I did a master reset and when I pair my phone it finds the phone, but when it said to download phonebook it shuts my phone off. Anyone have this problem?

The pairing feature allows bluetooth devices to communicate securely with each other. This way you can make a call, receive a text message or you can use Sync Services.

1. Connect your iPhone to Ford Sync via bluetooth

  • Step 1 On your iPhone you can find Bluetooth, the wireless technology that allows your device to connect to SYNC, on the Main menu under Settings. Open the Settings tab and you can see under 'Wireless and Networks', the 'Bluetooth' feature.
  • Step 2 After you have accessed Bluetooth settings, you need to tap on discoverable or hands-free. You may also need to scan for sync on your device.
